Primary Goal: 100% Engagement
Before All Things is first and foremost a discipleship initiative. We invite everyone who calls The Village home to take a personal journey with us as we seek to learn how God is calling each of us to grow in our generosity. We are calling on every person at The Village to pray and take next steps of obedience according to the Lord’s leading. If everyone does 100% of what God asks them to do, we will accomplish all that God has called us to.
Secondary Goal: $4.5M in Generosity
Our secondary goal is $4.5M in generosity for mission advancement. We are inviting everyone within The Village Church family to join us on a journey that will propel us into the future of our church. We have seen God do so much already in the life of our church, and we believe He has even bigger plans for The Village in the years to come!
This amount will resource three Kingdom building priorities for the next two years. Make Disciples: our ongoing weekly ministry to adults, students, and kids; Multiply Mission: our desire to continue supporting our local and global outreach partners, church planting organizations, and missionaries. We also aim to launch a preschool that serves families while creating a new pathway for connection, discipleship, and outreach; and Fuel The Future: our vision to strengthen our financial foundation, reduce debt, and maximize our building for community impact.
what is a one fund?
If you’ve been around The Village for a while, this is going to feel different from the generosity initiatives we’ve done before. In the past, whenever we’ve had a big vision for the future or a major project, we’ve launched a capital campaign. We’ve asked people to continue giving to our regular ministry budget and then consider giving above and beyond to help fund a specific project.
That’s how we purchased this property. That’s how we built this building. That’s how we built our playground. That’s how we’ve paid down a significant portion of our debt.
But Before All Things is different.
Rather than launching another capital campaign, we’re taking what’s called a One Fund approach.
That means we’re not asking you to choose between today’s ministry and tomorrow’s vision. They’re part of the same mission. Instead of thinking about multiple funds or making multiple giving decisions, we’re asking everyone at The Village to prayerfully consider one question:
“What would it look like for me to put Jesus before all things in my generosity over the next two years?”
Every dollar given will go into one unified fund that supports everything we believe God is calling us to do.
